Q4 2020 Performance of Top Tabletop Games in Latin America

In the fourth quarter of 2020, the tabletop board game category saw significant user engagement in Latin America across both iOS and Android platforms. Drawing insights from Sensor Tower, we observed the performance of five leading apps in this segment.

Parchisi STAR maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $57K in late October, with a slight decline towards the end of December to $51K. Downloads for this app showed a downward trend from 235K in late September to 193K by the year's end. Weekly active users started at 3.5M, decreasing to around 3.4M during the same period.

Ludo Club・Fun Dice Board Game experienced fluctuations in revenue, with a high of $23K in late September and dropping to around $18K by the end of December. Downloads began at 222K and dipped to 181K, while weekly active users saw a descent from 1.3M to 1.08M.

Chess - Play & Learn showed an impressive increase in revenue from $4.4K to $19K in the final week of December. Downloads surged notably from 19K to 119K, with weekly active users climbing from 240K to 529K, showing a strong upward trajectory.

Backgammon - Lord of the Board revealed a positive revenue trend, starting at $3K and more than doubling to $9K by the end of the quarter. The app's downloads experienced peaks and valleys, with a notable increase to 2.2K in late October, but overall maintaining lower download numbers. Active users exhibited a slight growth from 13K to 15K.

Lastly, MONOPOLY: The Board Game saw revenue growth from $1.5K to $6.8K. Downloads had a remarkable spike to nearly 15K in late November, attributed to a promotional period, before settling to 4.3K by December's end. Weekly active users showed a significant surge from 1.4K to over 10K, suggesting a growing interest in this classic game.
